Ticonderoga. Thomas A. McVeigh, 47, formerly of Ticonderoga, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his home in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Born in Ticonderoga, January 18, 1968, he is the son of Patrick McVeigh and Dawn (LaGuardia) Deyo.
Thomas was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran, where he worked in Aviation Electronics, and served during the Gulf War. He served in the National Guard, prior to the U.S.M.C. and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.
He was pre-deceased by his grandmother, Martha McVeigh and his niece, Sarah Porter, both of Ticonderoga, and his step-father, Roy Deyo of Ravena.
Survivors include his wife, Nita Jones McVeigh, two daughters, Anna E. McVeigh and Alesha R. McVeigh, and one son, Jordan C. McVeigh, all of Olive Branch, Mississippi; his father, Patrick G. McVeigh and his companion, Helen Johnson of Melbourne, Florida; his mother, Dawn S. Deyo of Water Valley, Mississippi; one sister, Elizabeth Hamel and her husband, Paul of Ticonderoga; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services took place in Mississippi on March 14, 2015, followed by burial in the Carey Springs Cemetery in Mississippi.
